Kimono Ilona has a unique look and feel. The fabric is made from a combination of cotton and lyocell. It has the breathable qualities of cotton, feels supersoft on the skin and has a chic and subtle sheen. Lyocell is a more sustainable fabric due to the use of fast-growing eucalyptus or birch trees that grow well even in depleted soils, without irrigation and virtually no pesticides. There’s no use of toxic chemicals and less water is needed during the production process. The kimono falls down to the calves, has an elegant split, three-quarter sleeves and closes with a tie belt. The Ilona is executed in the Annebella, a romantic widely placed floral print. In the Annebella you will find various flowers that are sourced from the Rijksmuseum. They are coloured photographs taken by the Japanese photographer Kazumasa Ogawa, around 1890. The generous placement on a soft, slightly contrasting background creates a captivating print.
